Spartan/Rosenbauer 1500/750 Side Mount Pumper

AUGUSTA COUNTY, VIRGINIA – Augusta County Fire Rescue of Augusta County, Virginia has taken delivery of a new Spartan/Rosenbauer Custom Side Mount Pumper.

The rig is mounted on a Spartan Gladiator cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof. Power is provided by a Caterpillar C-13, 525hp diesel engine mated with an Allison 4000 EVS automatic transmission with TouchPad shift selectorl. It features a 68-gallon fuel tank, ABS and ATC (automatic traction control), Bostrom SecureAll SCBA crew seats, and an extreme duty 24″ extended front bumper with two hosewell compartments.

There are dual SCBA compartments in the cab, one behind the driver, one behind the officer’s seat. The cab also features barrier cab doors, especially designed to clear highway guardrails.

The pump is a Waterous CSUC30 1500 gpm pump with a Class 1 pressure governor. Features include a 6-inch front suction, Waterous Monarch electric valves on teh right and left 6-inch steamers, three (3) speedlays ahead of the pump, a 30-gallon foam tank, Rosenbauer custom black Thermoplastic pump panels, a 750-gallon water tank, 3/16-inch aluminum Rosenbauer body with 28-inch deep compartments, ladder and pike pole storage through the body, four (4) bottle storage in the wheel well, slide-out dry hopper in the wheel well, Whelen LED warning light package, 3M Opticom traffic emitter, a 20kW Harrison generator, a hydraulic reel with Hurst compatible hose and Streamline couplings, a Rosenbauer custom thermoplastic body compartment liner and a Will-Burt lightower.
