Peterbuilt/US Tanker 750/1800 Elliptical Tanker

BROWN SUMMIT– After taking delivery of their first US Tanker elliptical in 2008, Northeast Guilford VFD ordered another unit and now have two US Tanker units in service.  The trucks are nearly identical even though two years seperate their deliveries.  Each is built on a 340 Peterbuilt with a 360 hp engine.  Their first unit had a 500 gpm Darley PTO pump while this one has a 750 gpm rating.  Both carry 1800 gallons of water and have 3-Way electric over air dumps.  There is a fold down rack for a 2100 gallon drop tank on the right side of the body and ladder racks on the left.  Suction hose and pike poles are stored inside the body.  Over the pump is a 1 3/4′ crosslay and anothercrosslay for dead lay storage.  Hose can also be stored in floating hose wells on the running boards.  There is SCBA bottle strorage in each wheel well and an LED lighting package.
