ROSENBAUER/SPARTAN  1250/1000 CUSTOM PUMPER

SHANNON-Shannon VFD in Robeson County, NC has taken delivery of a new Custom Pumper built by Rosenbauer.

This purchase represents a new trend for Shannon as all their previos trucks utilized commercial cabs.  They wanted more room in the cab but were concerned about the cost.  CWW Salesman Tim Hall suggested that take a look at Spartan’s Furion cab which represents a price bridge between a full scale custom and the commercials that Shannon was used to.  Tim also spent time with the Fire Department expaining the advantages of the Rosenbauer FX body with its 3/16″ aluminum construction as opposed to 1/8″ supplied by most other builders.

The truck has a 380hp Cummins engine and an Allison EVS4000 transmission.  It carries 1000 gallons of water and has a Hale QFLO pump rated at 1250 gpm.  All compartments on the drivers side of the truck are full height and full depth.  Laddeer and suction hose are stored inside the body.  Special features include a Harrison 10kW hydraulic generator and a cab roof mounted light tower.
